Dear Wildcat Families:

Welcome back to another exciting school year! We hope your summer has been restful and filled with great memories. As we prepare for a strong start to the 2025–2026 academic year, we are excited to once again gather as a community to support our students both in the classroom and beyond, including under the Friday night lights!

Oxford High School’s football games have long been a point of pride and tradition in our community. To ensure this experience continues to be safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all, we are implementing a few important changes this season. These updates are based on feedback from families, staff, and public safety partners, and align with best practices being adopted across the region.

Updates and Reminders for the 2025-2026 School Year:

  • No Re-Entry to the Stadium.

  • All Oxford High School students must have a school ID for entry. Showing PowerSchool schedule is allowed.

  • Expect to go through the Evolv weapons detection system for entry.

  • Students: No bags of any kind will be allowed for students.

  • No outside footballs or sporting equipment.

  • Middle School and Elementary aged children are to be accompanied, supervised by, and in the vicinity of an adult.

    • Our ticket workers will not allow unsupervised students to enter into the stadium.

    • If there are issues with accompanied students gathering and causing unsafe issues, parents will be contacted and the students will be barred for the rest of the season.

  • Adults: No backpacks or large bags. Small purses, diaper bags, and medical bags are permissible and are subject to search.

  • No outside food or beverages are allowed into the stadium. This includes empty or filled bottles, cups, thermos containers, coolers, mugs, etc.

  • Oxford Community Schools prohibits the possession and/or use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and weapons while on school property and at any district related event. Please see Policies 3102.01 and 3408.01 for more information.

  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited; anyone who attempts to bring alcohol and/or is visibly under the influence of any substance will be removed for the rest of the season.

  • All school rules and district policies are in effect and will be enforced for this event.

We remain committed to providing our students, families, and community members with an enjoyable game-day experience that reflects the values of Oxford Community Schools. Your partnership is key in making that possible. Should there be anything we can do to assist you or your student, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Let’s have a safe, spirited, and successful season. Go Wildcats!

Sincerely,

Tony DeMare, Athletic Director, Oxford Community Schools

WELCOME BACK! First Day of School is Friday, August 15th!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with our community! Thanks to the generosity of a private donor, Oxford High School will soon have a brand-new football field! We’re excited about the positive impact this gift will have for students across multiple activities.

This incredible gift will cover the full cost of the field replacement, which means no district funds will be used for this project. The new turf will proudly remain our signature Wildcat blue, and this donation reflects a shared commitment to enhancing student experiences whenever possible without additional cost to our taxpayers.

Construction will begin right away. Our Athletic Director, Tony DeMare, is coordinating closely with coaches to ensure that practices and scheduling remain uninterrupted throughout the process. We are hopeful that the new field will be ready in time for our first home football game on August 29, but there is a chance the work may not be completed by then. If a location change is necessary, we’ll communicate those details with families as soon as possible.

We’re incredibly grateful for this generous investment in our students, our programs, and our district. Thank you for your continued support; we can’t wait to see our Wildcats take the field this fall!

Dear Families and Staff,

We want to let you know that there will be fire alarm testing at Oxford Elementary School on Thursday, July 17, and Friday, July 18, beginning between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. each day.

These are only tests, and no evacuation will be required. However, the alarms will sound throughout the building as part of the routine system checks.

If you or your child will be at Oxford Elementary for breakfast or attending the OELC Summer Camp on either of those days, please be prepared for the brief noise and activity during the testing period.

Sincerely,
Oxford Community Schools

🏈 Former Detroit Lions player Lomas Brown spent the morning with our Crossroads Day School students, sharing powerful messages about self-respect, goal setting, and resilience. He talked with students about setting boundaries, not letting others bring them down, and making their wellbeing a priority so they’re able to support others. His words were motivating and meaningful for everyone in the room. Thank you, Lomas, for taking the time to connect with our Wildcats and to Principal Don Maskill for making this incredible experience possible! 🙌 #WorldclassWildcats #OCSWildcats

The OHS Leadership Class selected Crossroads Day School as the recipient of the funds raised during Charity Week this year. Thanks to their incredible efforts, a total of $13,034 was raised! These funds will go directly toward enhancing student learning at Crossroads Day School. Earlier this year, Crossroads' principal, Don Maskill, delivered a presentation to the leadership class telling them that, if Crossroads was selected, the money would be used for PBIS initiatives, microscopes for science class, resources for the library, field trips, and more. He stated that he'd also love to add a flagpole and flag by the girls' school. Mr. Maskill and the Crossroads team are all so grateful and appreciative of the work the OHS students, staff, and school community have done for Crossroads ❤️ What an outstanding way to make a positive impact—great job, Wildcats! 🐾 #OCSWildcats #WorldclassWildcats
